Birmingham drug dealers targeted in major operation
“Modern drug dealing is like ordering a take away" - according to police chiefs in Birmingham who have today launched a major operation to clean up the city’s streets.The claim comes after the operation, two years in the planning, has seen specialist officers able to identify dedicated numbers and in turn the
dealers behind the numbers and their addresses.Over 100 officers mounted dawn raids over three separate days on scores of addresses in specific parts of the city. A total of 36 people have been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing over the days and their homes extensively searched.
Quantities of class A and B drugs were seized during searches together with a substantial amount of cash.
The operation called ‘Birmingham No Deal’, which has been a result of two years planning, is based on significant and extensive information collated by a dedicated team of officers.
Police launched a huge intelligence gathering exercise together with a variety of tactics to target a number of people.Twenty-two men have been charged with conspiracy to supply/supplying class A drugs:

Saleem Alam, 26, from Inverclyde Road , Handsworth

Asad Tazeem, 25, from  Bevington Road , Aston

Faheem Ul-Islam, 35, from Wheelwright Road , Erdington

Afruz Miah, 32, from  Brackenberry Road , Kingstanding

Usman Imran, 20, from  Heathfield Road , Lozells (also charged with possession of a handgun)

Shazad Ahmed, 36, from Norris Road , Aston

Shamshaire Ali, 42, from Constitution Hill, Handsworth

ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR like DRUNKENESS,DRUG DEALING,GROWING DRUGS, NOISEY NEIGHBOURHOODS including their cars on the road,DANGEROUS DRIVING and CYCLING, FLY TIPPING and PROSTITUTION, and pass it to the Police for THEM to deal with, like the sneaky dumping of tyres and Builders rubble on a public access way to the Allotments,which will now be monitored by cameras.
